Listed below are the various benefit programs and coverage provided by
AIL Canada:
Final Expenses
This is our Freedom of Choice funeral
plan, backed by a Whole Life policy, which is accepted worldwide as immediate
payment for funeral arrangements.
Accident/Hospitalization
Includes coverage for accidental, automobile, common carrier death or
dismemberment and per day benefits for hospitalization due to an accident.
In the dependent program the entire family is included in the coverage.
All children are covered if they are less than 18 years of age and remain
on the policy until they are 21 years of age. The hospitalization coverage
is the same for the spouse and children.
Readjustment Income
This is a monthly amount paid to the family to allow them time to decide
what they want to do and how best to use any other benefits. This program
is provided through a 10-year Renewable and Convertible term policy. It
can be renewed every 10 years or converted to a Whole Life policy with
no proof of insurability.
Hospital Coverage
Covers the member and family (if desired) for a daily amount to be determined
by the member if they are hospitalized due to sickness.
Cancer Coverage
Pays a one time lump sum amount of $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000 to the
member and family (if desired) upon the first positive diagnosis of cancer.
Critical Illness
Provides a one-time payment of $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000 upon
the first positive diagnosis of a covered critical illness, including
heart attack or stroke. Note: This does not cover the diagnosis of cancer.
All of our programs include a Strike and Layoff waiver. These waivers
will cover the cost of the program during a strike or if a member is laid
off due to economic reasons. Some conditions and limitations apply.
